Joining or renewing your membership
EMLD exists as a democratic SAO (Specified Associated Organisation) of the Liberal Democrats - it has a special status enshrined within the Party's constitution to represent BME members and their particular concerns - from the way the party campaigns to particular minority groups, for example, translated literature; to the way the Party promotes BME interests within the party and what the party needs to do to attract more BME members. In the 21st Century - all parties need to represent all British communities.
EMLD is governed by it's membership, it elects its own executive and chair annually and as a democratic body rather than a "task Force" or "Czar", it has a real voice. To do that we need your financial support via membership subscriptions and donations. Help us to help you. Support our campaigning, join as a member and even stand for office.
