At this year's Federal Conference in Bournemouth, Ethnic Minority Lib Dems will be hosting a number of training and fringe events as follows:4.00.00pm BST (GMT +0100) Fri 28th Aug 2009 Saturday 19 Sep 14.30-15.45: "Reaching the Faith Vote", training event at Premier Inn, Syndicate 5 16.00-17.50: "Speaker Cards and Speaking at Conference", training event at Premier Inn, Syndicate 6 Sunday 20 Sep 13.00-14.00 : "Reflecting Britain" , fringe event chaired by Cllr Nader Fekri with speakers including Simon Woolley of Operation Black Vote at Royal Exeter Hotel, Bar-so-Dome Monday 21 Sep Chinese Liberal Democrats invite you to celebrate their 3rd birthday dinner with Lord Paddy Ashdown, at Ocean Palace Restaurant from 7.45pm. (Tickets on application to info@chineselibdems.org.uk) Tuesday 22 Sep 13.00-14.00 : "Turkey - Our Future in Europe", fringe event chaired by Turhan Ozen with panel including Lord William Wallace and Mevlut Cavusoglu, founder member of AK Party and MP for Antalya.at The Royal Bath Hotel, Gladstone Suite Wednesday 23 Sep 13.00-14.00 : " Children on the Edge", fringe event chaired by Merlene Emerson with panel including Chris Huhne MP, Amanda Shah of Bail for Immigration Detainees and Olvia Fellas of No Recourse to Public Funds at Old Harry's Bar, Highcliff Marriot In addition Party leader, Nick Clegg MP will be hosting a debate on the Sunday evening with Yasmin Alibhai-Brown "Imagining New Britain: forging a new national identity" at Royal Bath Hotel, De Vere Suite followed by a BAME reception at the Purbeck Suite, Highcliff Marriot from 21.30-22.30 Last but not least, EMLD will have a stand at the Exhibition Hall, so do come along to Stand 121 to rest your feet and help us promote the work of EMLD within the Party!
